Identified, recruited and executive produced 15 short films created (pro bono) by 15 emerging filmmakers across the U.S.
Motion Poems is a non-profit based on Minneapolis that curates an annual show of short films created entirely pro bono by filmmakers. Each filmmaker chooses a poem from a shortlist provided by Motion Poems and creates a short film out of his or her own interpretation of their chosen poem.
This season features the work of Black poets so my goal was to represent the poets with a majority of Black filmmakers, most of whom were without representation. See the show's content on the MotionPoems page on this site.
